Check NVIDIA's website for the latest version (if you have a laptop and the OEM does not have the latest version, try instead). NVIDIA has resolved this issue as of driver version 174.
I have an NVIDIA card and my game or video driver keeps crashing!.If you had the game installed on your PC previously (i.e., during the beta), you must uninstall it before installing the final game. My game is crashing for another reason.Otherwise this will create stability issues and de-sync problems the longer you play. If you're going to use Mods in a multiplayer game, either all players must use the same Mod (and version) or no Mods can be used.
Also, brought to my attention is to have a copy of any files BEFORE the change to easily revert back to the mod's original settings.Almost all of the crash reports we've received in this regard were caused by some of the players using Mods that the other players weren't. So if you don't want to change the SMACs do NOT change the file. This setting change will impact all SOTP mod games(not vanilla game). I am using this personally for my own use and am posting the solution to help whoever else wants to mess around with game settings. Note: This is NOT an official SOTP mod post. So normal cost is 2.0 and lowering it to 1.0 halves the tactical slot cost for SMAC. Solution: Go to " C:\Users\Documents\My Games\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion\Mods-Rebellion v1.85\SotP v0.85.1\GameInfo", select file " PLANETMODULE_UNSCSMAC", using a text editor change the tactical slot cost to either greater or less than the desired cost, Save file(CTRL+S). Method 1: Edit specific planet file and create custom map with specific planet. I know you can increase the size through research but I want to increase the "base" amount. Goal: Increase the tactical slot size so I can have a ****'ton of MAC turrets in orbit.
